Festivalul Love Parade a fost desfiinţat în urma busculadei produse în Duisburg, în urma căreia au murit 19 persoane şi alte 340 au fost rănite, a scris DJ-ul ATB (Andre Tanneberger) pe pagina sa de Facebook.

„Tocmai am aflat informaţia de la conferinţa de presă oficială. Nu se vor mai organiza ediţii ale Love Parade în viitor. Cred că este decizia corectă”, a precizat ATB.

Nouăsprezece persoane au murit şi cel puţin 340 au fost rănite într-o busculadă care s-a produs într-un tunel din oraşul german Duisburg în timpul festivalului tehno Love Parade.

Presa germană îi critică dur pe organizatorii festivalului tehno “Love Parade” de la Duisburg, acuzându-i de neglijenţe grave care au condus la busculada soldată cu moartea a 19 persoane. (Mediafax)

Site-ul Love Parade a fost închis. Pe un fundal negru, cu text alb, stă scris:

Our wish to arrange a happy togetherness was overshadowed by the tragic accidents on 24th July 2010. Therefore we are ending the live stream of the Loveparade.
Our sincere condolences to all the relatives and our thoughts are with all of those who are currently being taken care of.
